Memory Care Neighborhood

Your family member coping with Alzheimer’s or another type of dementia or memory loss can discover close companionship and experience the exceptional warmth and engagement that make it a truly welcoming home.

At Celebration Villa of Altoona, our core philosophy revolves around forging genuine connections with our residents and families through our specialized memory care program, Along the Journey.

From early to advanced memory loss, we meet residents where they are in their own life journey. We take time to understand each resident, in an environment of empathy and unwavering compassion. We get to know the resident’s life story, family members, passions and ambitions. Understanding their likes, dislikes, and comfort foods help us cultivate meaningful connections.

Personalized Care

Discovering the right care for a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia can be a challenging journey. Our signature program, Along the Journey, was thoughtfully crafted to provide personalized care, meeting your loved one at their unique stage in life.

Heartfelt Care

What truly sets our program apart is our commitment to celebrating the small successes. We understand that these moments matter to our residents and their families. Residents are encouraged to participate in their daily activities, empowering them to maintain a sense of independence and control over their lives.

Each activity is tailored, to match the current abilities of our residents, fostering social relationships and meaningful connections. Our residents delight in reminiscing about cherished moments, such as weddings, quality time with children, and their chosen careers. We also provide activities tailored to their interests, including music therapy, pet therapy, gardening, arts and crafts, and bowling.

These elements of our program create a profound impact, not only on our residents but also on their cherished family members who witness their loved ones thriving with care and purpose.
